Do you want to learn more about the Holy Land? Do you want to enrich your Bible reading? Are you tired of the media bias as they report about events in Israel? My perspectives are written from my home in the Judean Hills near Jerusalem, and arise from the accumulation of knowledge gained from 36 years of living, studying and working in Israel. I am a Messianic/Christian believer, a Zoologist and Scientist, and I have worked for over 30 years as a teacher of science. An avid student of the Bible and Nature, I have toured the land extensively, studied its history, geography and ecology, and have served in congregations here in Israel. Now retired, I want to share with you some of the things I have learned.
This site includes several different pages:
My Blog: This is updated approximately every two weeks and contains an analysis of news in Israel with a discussion from a Biblical perspective and prayer points.
Science and the Bible: this is the transcript of a three part seminar discussing the relationship between science, faith and the Bible. It examines questions about the nature of science and faith, the size and age of the universe, the steps of creation, the age of the Earth, and evolution.
Nature in the Holy Land: Israel lies at the junction of three continents and has a rich and varied flora and fauna. I believe that a knowledge of this enriches our reading of the Bible. The Bible writers lived close to nature and drew on it freely in their writing. In this section you will find a series of treatises on various aspects of the natural and agricultural word of the Holy Land.
My photos: In my travels around Israel exploring its amazing natural world, I have taken thousands of photos. Here you will find some of the best examples.
My Paintings: One of my hobbies is painting on oil. On this page you will find samples of my work. Most of my paintings depict the natural landscapes, flora and fauna of Israel and celebrate the Creator.
